Dr. Krug graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Neuroscience and then graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School. He did his internal medicine residency and a chief resident year at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.
From 2011-2016 Dr. Krug worked at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. There he worked as a hospitalist, oversaw quality improvement initiatives as the Associate Medical Director for Clinical Resource management, and taught both in the classroom and on the wards as the Assistant Clerkship Director for the 3rd year MS3 program. Dr. Krug moved to Boise in 2016 to work as a hybrid inpatient-outpatient internist at the Boise VA and as one of the two Associate Program Directors at the UW Boise Internal Medicine Residency.
Dr. Krug is very active in local, regional, and national educational initiatives. He was the co-chair of the 2016 Washington ACP meeting and is the past-president of the Northwest Chapter of SGIM. He has spoken at numerous regional and national meetings, is an author for the MKSAP question bank, and has been a reviewer for Practical Reviews in Internal Medicine for the past 6 years.
Dr. Krug lives in Boise with his wife and 3 children. In his spare time, he enjoys sports and athletics, the outdoors, and Game of Thrones.
